Apples – Red Prince

The Red Prince apple was discovered in 1994 on the German/Holland border. A lone tree laden with big, beautiful red apples stood out in stark contrast to the green fruit hanging in the rest of the orchard. At the time of the discovery, they believed it was a gift from Mother Nature. Later the apple was traced back to a natural crossing between a Jonathan and a Golden Delicious! With a deep red skin and a dense, crisp flesh, this is a great refreshing sweet and tangy apple.
