Plums – President

Popular since the early 1900’s and was originally bred in Herefordshire. This large plum is one of the latest ripening plums, providing fresh fruit at a time when most other plums are finished.  This and it’s versatility for eating fresh or for culinary use meant that it rapidly became popular, and is found in many old gardens and orchards throughout England.

This dark blue-purple plum has  a juicy, sweet yellow flesh with a pleasant flavour.
