Longley Farm separate cream from fresh Jersey milk and then churn it to make Longley Farm Luxury Jersey Butter.

With a minimum of 80% butterfat, the butter has no added colours, preservatives or stabilisers. It has a good yellow colour, typical of milk from the Jersey breed, with a rugged flavour.

Jersey butter is well known as being excellent for cooking and baking. The unusual cylindrical shape makes it easy to cut off slices, which look very stylish when set out on a butter plate. Winter butter can be paler than in Spring, when cows are out at grass and eating a diet rich in carotene. Jersey butter freezes well.

The by-product of the churning process is buttermilk which can be ordered but give us a few days notice.
