This squash often know as winter squash, although it is grown in the summer and harvested in the Autumn, but because of its unique hard skin they store so well and traditionally eaten throughout the winter months. They are a great source of fibre as well as  including A, C, E and B vitamins along with minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and zinc.
